About Me

I chose this profession because at a young age, I knew I always wanted to help people. As I got older, I was intrigued to learn about the different ways I can assist and support individuals, especially when they are most vulnerable. I began volunteering at a distress center help line and immediately felt gratification and warmth counseling others. I felt empathetic towards those that didn't have support, so it was important for me to progress in a profession that specializes in care and rehabilitation.

I am versatile, flexible, patient and understanding. My experience ranges from working with youth, adults and elderly in various settings such as schools, rehabilitation centers, residential and community. This allows me to be adaptable and productive in any environment.

I am able to build a strong connection with my clients because of my vast experience, age and cultural exposure. I find it easy to connect with those younger and older than me, as I am almost in the "middle-aged category" with a youthful side and old soul. Also, coming from a mixed background and speaking another language, it allows me to easily relate with immigrants and ethnic groups. Growing up in peel region in a diverse population provides me the ability to be knowledgeable of other's cultures and traditions.
