About Me
I went into dietetics because I’ve always been passionate about nutrition and wellness. Since highschool, I wanted to go into healthcare to help people in the community. Nutrition really stood out to me as a career path because working as an RD provides an opportunity to help people manage and prevent chronic disease through lifestyle interventions.
I feel accomplished and fulfilled as a health professional when my clients work on their goals and start to see positive results. I like to empower and motivate my clients to see their nutrition goals as a lifestyle change rather than a temporary struggle. I like to make their goals realistic and attainable so they can have fun and enjoy their diet and lifestyle. I feel happy when my clients are excited to try new things and make healthy lifestyle choices.
I believe showing empathy and understanding my clients current situation helps me build a strong connection with them. This allows the client to be more open to making healthy lifestyle changes and really being able to use me as a mentor and coach, someone who they can trust while they learn new knowledge and strategies to reach their health goals.
